Learning from Dr Tony Medland
Dr Tony Medland founded Medland Dental in 1959, working with his mother initially until his sister joined the practice shortly after. He changed the face of dentistry with his focus on taking exceptional care of each of his patients during a time where the dentist was feared more often than not. Dr Medland instilled these values in his team, and while it has been over ten years since he retired from Dentistry, these values remain as relevant today as they always were. Don’t lose your health fund benefits for 2015
The end of the year is quickly approaching. This is the time of year when most health funds reset their annual benefits. Most health funds do not roll over the benefits that are left unused as at 31 December, so the portion of your benefits not used by 31 December one year is lost on 1 January the following year.

The End of Financial Year is Approaching – Don’t miss out on your tax offset entitlements
As you may already be aware, as a family or an individual, you may be entitled to a tax rebate on the combined total of your medical expenses. This includes your "out of pocket' dental expenses once they exceed a certain threshold in the financial year.* In the last two years there have been a number of changes to the tax offset. In 2013 the then Federal Government announced that it would be phasing out the net medical expenses tax offset. Happy Retirement Bev!
Next Thursday, 12 December will mark the end of an era at Medland Dental Centre. Bev Lee who has cared for Medland patients for the last 24 years will be commencing her well earned retirement.Bev started at Medland Dental Centre in 1990. At the age of 50 and with a then grown up family, Bev commenced at our front desk as a receptionist.
