Hocus Pocus in the Park 2013
This year Medland Dental Centre and took part in ‘Hocus Pocus in the Park’, a Halloween community event organised by Bulimba Business. Held in the busy Oxford Memorial Park on Oxford Street Bulimba, the free event came to fruition last year to make Halloween safer and more enjoyable for local children. Happy Retirement Bev!
Next Thursday, 12 December will mark the end of an era at Medland Dental Centre. Bev Lee who has cared for Medland patients for the last 24 years will be commencing her well earned retirement.Bev started at Medland Dental Centre in 1990. At the age of 50 and with a then grown up family, Bev commenced at our front desk as a receptionist. What are Dental Implants?
Dental implants are a very successful and now a commonly used treatment option to replace lost or missing teeth. A dental implant is essentially an artificial tooth root which can be used to support a number of dental solutions, such as crowns, bridges or dentures. The implant is constructed of a strong, biocompatible material called titanium which becomes integrated with the bone of the jaw. The majority of dental problems develop slowly, and in the early stages, these developing dental problems are mostly silent. MDC participates in MS Moonlight Walk 2013
The fight against multiple sclerosis (MS) is a very personal one here at Medland Dental Centre. Our Kelly, who many of you will know, was diagnosed with MS six years ago after the birth of her second daughter. On 18 October 2013, Medland Dental Centre once again joined with the MS Society to participate in the MS Moonlight Walk. This walk raises funds for those living with MS and for research to find a cure. This year our team consisted of 42 staff, family and friends who completed the 5km or 10km trail.
