Our days at work are so busy that we don’t often get time to enjoy each others company, and so we all look forward to getting together for our Christmas Party. This year we had a family day at Merthyr Bowls Club, enjoying the lovely cool weather and perfecting our lawn bowls technique! It was also lovely to catch up with Danielle, our former Front Office Manager who moved to Mackay earlier this year. See all the photos here.
There will also be some new faces working with Dr Kam, Dr Lillicrap and Dr Morrison next year as Dental Assistants, Denisa, Kellie and Taby are all expecting little bundles of joy in the first half of 2019. These will be the first babies for sisters, Denisa and Taby. Kellie has a three-year-old daughter and is expecting twins! We wish these lovely ladies all the very best and will definitely be posting photos of the new additions to the Medland family when the times comes.
Our Front Office Manager, Angela, has been very busy preparing for her Christmas holidays! Her break will be quite different from most of us, as she will be tackling her fourth of the seven summits, Aconcagua in South America. Aconcagua is the highest mountain outside of the Himalaya range with its peak sitting at an altitude of 6960m. This climb will take a total of 17 days from start to finish. Angela, a Thyroid Cancer survivor, dedicates her climbs to raising funds for the Australian Cancer Research. You can read all about Angela’s mission, and donate, via her Summits For A Cure website.
