As you are aware, the Greater Brisbane area is going into a three-day lockdown from 5pm this afternoon, Monday 29 March. With community transmission in the Greater Brisbane region and the declaration by the Chief Health Officer of the greater Brisbane region as a hotspot, the Australian Dental Association has recommended that dental practices in the Greater Brisbane area move to “Level 3 Restrictions” over this time.
This means that dental practices in the Greater Brisbane area have been asked to temporarily defer routine dental care to help stop the spread of COVID-19. If you have an upcoming appointment for preventive or non-urgent dentistry, we will be in contact to discuss and reschedule your appointment. Please be patient as we work our way through our scheduled appointments.
As an essential health service, Medland Dental will stay open during the lockdown period and we will continue to treat patients that require urgent care. If you have a toothache or another dental emergency over the next few days, please still contact us on 07 34265777.
