Crowns and Bridges

Crowns and bridges strengthen and restore natural teeth giving you increased confidence and more reasons to smile.

A dental crown is a restoration that embraces the natural tooth, supporting teeth that have been weakened by large fillings, cracks, trauma or root canal treatment. Crowns become the new surface of your tooth and protect the tooth underneath.

A porcelain bridge looks like your normal teeth and is used to replace one or more missing teeth. Bridges are supported by the teeth on either side of the space, effectively linking them together. Once again, advancements in materials and technology make porcelain bridges today incredibly strong and durable. Our porcelain bridges are fabricated by our specialist dental technicians to match the colour and shape of your natural teeth.

With an increased awareness of health and wellbeing today we guarantee our patients that Medland Dental does NOT out source any work offshore and that all materials used to fabricate your restoration are fully T.G.A approved. Our crowns are bridges are handmade by our own laboratory technicians in our onsite laboratory. All our laboratory technicians are registered by the Dental Technicians Board of Queensland.

We offer our patients a range of choices in all ceramic crowns and bridges using the latest in cad/cam technology. Zirconia and pressed ceramic tooth coloured materials allow us to fabricate restorations of outstanding strength and aesthetic qualities when used in the right situation. These materials are not suitable for all cases and supplement our highly successful porcelain fused to metal crown and bridgework using the best of biocompatible high gold content alloys. Your dentist will recommend the best choice for your situation.

Your Medland dentist works alongside our laboratory technicians to guarantee the technical excellence of your finished crown or bridge. Your comfort is our highest priority and we are confident you will be happy with the results.
